Purple Mandala Hibiscus Smoothie
8 oz purple cabbage ( half a small head), chopped
1 cup frozen blueberries, blackberries or frozen acai berry
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 ripe banana, peeled ( fresh)
1 cup chilled Hibiscus tea, (alternative is 1 cup cranberry or pomegranate juice)
2 Tbs. of Chia seeds
2-3 Tbs. raw honey, maple syrup or sweetener of choice
1 Tbs. of raw coconut oil
1 tsp. of dried lavender
1-2 Tbs. Spring water as needed for desired consistency
Procedure
Hibiscus Tea
Bring one cup of fresh spring water or filtered water to a boil and pour into a ceramic mug or glass pyrex measuring cup.
Add 1-2 Tbs. of Hibiscus flowers to the water and let sit for 10 minutes. Strain and cool.
Procedure smoothie:
Blend all if the above ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth. Garnish with dried lavender and enjoy.
