Ladies, I needed to share my morning Tonic with you to address estrogen dominance and low Progesterone with the wonderful and balancing tonic. Any one from the age of 20 and up can benefits greatly from using this morning tea to help balance the hormones naturally, reduce PMS, reduce breast tenderness, help with fibroids, balance your mood and so much more. The main healing root in this tea is called Shatavari and its benefits have been documented for thousands of years in India. Here is a little background of this miracle root!
Shatavari
In India, Shatavari (Wild Asparagus) has been used for thousands of years as a rejuvenating tonic for the female system. From daughters, to mothers, to grandmothers Shatavari balances a woman during her cycles through life; offering soothing, restorative relief from PMS, menstrual and menopausal imbalances, while helping to gently tone and strengthen her reproductive system.
Shatavari translates into “she who has a 1000 husbands” and is said to give a woman the reproductive strength to have 1000 husbands!
Shatavari is one of the most nourishing and wholesome sources of phytoestrogens, and parallels the actions of dong quai, wild yam, raspberry leaf and evening primrose.
Shatavari is one of the best herbs for increasing ojas, the density of core vitality, the essence responsible for the basis of immunity and also the fundamental support of reproductive function.
The sweet roots of this wild asparagus are as delicious as the sprouts of its cultivated cousin, making this valuable herb a bonafide “superfood.”
Shatavari is sweet and delicious and adds a wonderful flavor to my morning elixir.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Dandi Blend, Tecchino or coffee free substitute
1 teaspoon Lacuma powder (Optional but gives a wonderful carmel flavor)
1/2 cinnamon powder
1-2 teaspoons of Organic Shatavari Root powder from( Banyon Botanical or Longevity Warehouse)
1/2 cup Hemp Seeds and 6-8 dates
Stevia or natural sweetener of choice
8 oz of spring water or filtered water
Procedure:
Place coffee free substitute in a french press and bring water to a boil. Add water and make the coffee mixture according to directions. Once “Coffee is made” pour into a large coffee mug or mason jar. Mix in cinnamon, lacuna & shatavari and put aside.
In a Nutribullet or high speed blender add filtered water, hemp seeds, pitted dates and sweetener to make your own homemade HEMP MYLK. Whip until frothy and white. Top your “Coffee elixir) with hemp milk and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
