As a Raw Foods enthusiast and a colon hydrotherapist, I am not a big fan of oatmeal whether it be raw or cooked versions. Generally Raw foodists do not include an grains including oatmeal simply because it can not be sprouted therefore does not have the benefits as other things like buckwheat groats ect. Furthermore, if you put oatmeal in a glass of water and leave it on the counter over night, you will find a sticky, glue-like substance that will give you an idea of what oatmeal does inside the digestive tract. This is my version of a Tasty and Delicious “Oatmeal” that is so delicious and nutritious and is free from any oatmeal whatsoever.
Ingredients:
1-2 medium size organic apples, peeled and cored
1/2 cup sprouted and organic hemp seeds
3-4 mejool dates ( more or less depending on how sweet you like it)
small handful of sprouted pumpkin, sunflower seeds)
1/2 cup of goji berries, hunza berries, raisins or fresh fruit
Procedure:
Mix every thing in a food processor until it makes an oatmeal texture.
( except dried fruits or fresh fruit as this will be added at end)
Add a little filtered water or coconut milk if you want it smoother and creamier.
Add dried fruit and fresh fruit and there you have it!
